Assertive sentence (বর্ণনামূলক বাক্য)
➤যে sentence এ কোন বিবৃতি প্রদান করা হয় তাকে Assertive sentence বলে। অর্থাৎ সাধারণভাবে যে সব কথাবার্তা বলা হয় তা Assertive sentence এর অন্তর্গত।➤Assertive sentence আবার দুই প্রকার:
1. Affirmative sentence (হ্যাঁ বোধক)।
2. Negative sentence (না বোধক)।
➤কয়েকটি Assertive sentence অর্থ সহ দেওয়া হলো।
১. সময় নষ্ট করা দু:খের ব্যাপার To waste time is a pity
২. আমার উদ্দেশ্য তোমাকে সাহায্য করা My aim is to help you
৩. আমি এটা ভেবে দেখব I’ll think about it
৪. সে নিশ্চিত যে কাজটা ঠিক হবে He is certain that the work will be right
৫. তোমার এটা করা উচিত You should do this.
৬. আমি তাকে বিশ্বাস করি I believe him
৭. শীঘ্রই নয়টা বাজবে It’ll soon be nine
৮. আমি আমার সাথে আমার বইটি এনেছি I bought my book with me

৯. আজ বাহিরে যাবো I will go out today.
১০. এই দোকানিটি আমার একজন পুরানো বন্ধু This shopkeeper is an old friend of mine.
১১. আমার মনে হয় আমার সেখানে যাওয়া উচিত I think I should go there
১২. সে ভাল গান গেতে পারে She can sing well
১৩. মেয়েটি খুব বুদ্ধিমান The girl is very intelligent
১৪. আমি ভাত খেতে পছন্দ করি I like to eat rice

২৯. সে রান্না করতে জানে না He doesn’t know how to cook
৩০. তুমি মনে হচ্ছে খুশি হও নি You don’t seem to be happy
৩১. আমি এটা তাকে করতে দেব না I won’t allow them to do this
